Lalong appoints SSG, media aide, chief of staff

Plateau State Governor, Mr. Simon Lalong, has appointed the Director-General of the All Progressives Congress governorship campaign organisation in the state during the last general elections, Mr. Rufus Bature, as the Secretary to the State Government.

Bature was the minority leader in the Plateau State House of Assembly in the outgoing legislature.

He also named the pioneer Vice Chancellor of the Plateau State University, Prof. John Wade, as the Director of Research.

In his first major appointments, Lalong also named a former Director of Protocol to ex-Governor Joshua Dariye, Mr. John Dafan, as his Chief of Staff, while a lecturer with the Plateau State Polytechnic, Mr. Emmanuel Nanle, was named the Director of Press Affairs.
